Education
In the state of Maryland, individuals may file court actions without hiring an attorney. If this path is chosen, however, you are still responsible for knowing and properly following all court processes and procedures. In addition, court personnel are not authorized to provide legal advice. The Tomlin Legal Workshop was established to offer education to those who choose to address certain family law issues without traditional legal representation.
• The cost is $295 for a 1.5-hour session
• All Workshops will be conducted virtually
• The Workshop is designed, facilitated, and taught exclusively by Valeria Tomlin or another barred and licensed Maryland attorney personally selected by Attorney Tomlin.
• The Workshop features a Question & Answer session where you will be given the opportunity to have questions answered directly by the attorney.
Navigating the legal system can be confusing and difficult. Each case is different and presents its own set of facts. Despite this, there are some basic rules and instructions that all cases must observe. The Tomlin Legal Workshop addresses rules and instructions that are applicable, regardless of the specific facts and circumstances of an individual case. The Tomlin Legal Workshop will specifically focus on the following:
• Child Support – Modification
• Child Support – Contempt
Registration is MANDATORY!
• The Workshop will be held twice each month from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm.
• The cost is $295 to attend a 1.5-hour Workshop
• Space is limited to 25 participants to ensure sufficient time for Q & A. Sign up early!
• To register, you must have the ability to login to the Workshop with video and audio.

The Tomlin Legal Workshop is not designed to teach everything you need to know to legally represent yourself – no workshop does. This Workshop was developed to provide answers to basic legal questions about the court system as well as, specific information about certain family law matters.
Please note that The Tomlin Legal Workshop is NOT designed to provide legal advice. It provides legal information but ultimately, you will be responsible for properly completing any necessary documents and attending court events as required.
This is an educational program. Nothing here is legal advice and attending the Workshop does not create an attorney-client relationship or privilege. Please keep this in mind, particularly when we reach the Question & Answer stage of the Workshop.
If you have a family law issue that is not specifically mentioned on our website, it does not mean that we cannot assist you.
We embrace and surround you with care and empower you with legal choices to create a new future.
